A very fine, mid 18th century French oval-shaped pastel portrait of a lady in the Rococo court style of Francois Boucher (Paris 1703-1770), the oval painting in its original stetcher, fitted into a later carved and gilt frame and slip. Area of Paris, circa 1770. 

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing slight surface wear in keeping with its age.
