A 19th century French Gien 'cache-pot' (jardiniere flower pot holder) decorated in Delft style blue on white patterns, including basketweave, flower and foliate motifs, and also with whimsical birds and insects. Fitted with rams' heads handles. The underside stamped with the Gien potteries' hallmark. Area of Gien, circa 1900.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing only slight wear in keeping with its age and use.
Dimensions: Diameter 20.5 cm (plus handles), height 16 cm.
