A Parisian Mirrored Chiffonier

A mid 19th century, French Napoleon III period, rosewood and gilt brass-mounted, long and narrow Chiffonier dresser, the top section with two shelves supported by finely turned gilt brass balusters, retaining the original mirror-back, and fitted with fretted gilt brass galleries. The main body with a stepped front and with four glazed and gilt brass-grilled doors, backed by pleated curtains. Internally fitted with drawers designed to store silverware. Note the exquisite quality of the carved mouldings and corbels, and the colour of the original and excellent, faded rosewood patina. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition. The rosewood timbers very nicely faded to a honey colour.
