A French Louis XVI Fire Screen

A mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style finely carved mahogany and gilt brass mounted fire screen, fitted with a a geometric pattern fabric. Note the exceptional quality of the brass mouldings offset by the dark mahogany colour. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
