A French 'Billot' Butcher's Table

An early 20th century French "Billot" butcher's block, a typical sturdy workbench/ chopping block, the top made from end-grain beechwood blocks well-worn with kitchen work marks. Retaining the original steel reinforcing corner plates and structural iron bolts. This table is suitable for use in a kitchen, but would possibly also make an interesting hall table/console table. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: In as-found, unrestored condition, structurally very sturdy. The thick top worn into a basin-shape by years of use.
Dimensions: 160 x 60 cm, overall height 86 cm.
