A French Empire style circular 'Gueridon' table, the turned Portoro Black marble top with raised edges, above a flame mahogany tripod base of simple and masculine elegance. Each of the legs is in the shape of a Classical pillar, with a finely cast, chased and gilt brass capitol and plinth. Please note the fine workmanship, typical of the fine cabinetmaking workshops of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine' district. Paris, circa 1930.
