A 19th century Florentine oil lamp of four lights, retaining its original tools (a pair of wick-scissors a snuff, a pick to clean the burner-spouts, and the pincers for adjusting the wick). The central oil bowl that holds the lights is adjustable in height. Fitted with a hand-made, half-round parchment shade. Area of Florence, circa 1880.
