A 19th century French farmhouse kitchen table, the solid oak table top retaining a soft colour, standing on baluster-turned oak legs joined by an 'H' stretcher. The table displays early construction techniques, including structural joints and joints of the top secured with wooden pegs. Fitted with a drawer each of of the table ends. Please note the wonderful curvature of the end rails. Area of Calvados, Lower Normandy, circa 1880.
