A 19th century Italian Louis XV style dining table base, decorated with carved, painted and parcel gilt 'Rocaille' and foliate motifs, the four sturdy, shaped uprights able to hold the weight of a large and thick glass, or solid marble top. Please note: this table can be used as a wonderful desk/ writing table. Area of Venice, Italy, circa 1870.
