An early 18th century French Regence period commode of three drawers, the timbers of the serpentine front and flanks with inlaid and cross-banded geometrical patterns, the original patina nicely burnished and with an exceptional bronze-like tonality. Please note the high quality of original gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. Fitted with a shaped and moulded 'Breche' marble top. Attributed to the workshop of Thomas Hache (1664–1747). Area of Grenoble, circa 1720.
