An 18th century French Louis XVI period, solid mahogany and gilt brass mounted commode of three drawers, of masculine and Neoclassical elegance. Fitted with its original, shaped and moulded Carrara marble top and retaining a nicely-faded and luminous mahogany patination, beautifully offset by the original gilt brass mouldings, handles and escutcheons. Area of Paris, circa 1780.
