A 19th century French transitional Louis XV/ Louis XVI stepped-front commode, the nicely faded rosewood, ebony and mahogany parquetry-inlaid front decorated with inlays of musical instruments, an allegory for Harmony. Fitted with its original, fine gilt brass mounts and its original, shaped and moulded "Gris Saint Anne" dark grey and veined marble top. Of very good proportions and made with very fine workmanship. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
