An early 19th century French provincial, solid walnut three-drawer commode of wonderfully shallow proportions, the walnut timbers well burnished and retaining the original patina. Standing on 'Jacob' design turned feet. Please note the restrained elegance of Neoclassical handles and escutcheons. Area of Greater Paris, circa 1840.
