A set of eight Louis XV style, French Provincial carved oak ladder-back chairs, each chair fitted with a drop-in woven rush seat, the top rails and the front rails decorated with haut relief carved seashell motifs, standing on elegant cabriole legs. These dining chairs are lightweight, comfortable, and sturdy everyday-use chairs. Area of Southern France, circa 1930.
