An early 19th century French Napoleon III period solid oak bookcase, the Classical pediment with typically generous ogee mouldings above a simple façade with two glazed doors above two drawers and two solid-panelled doors. Internally fitted with the original shelves. Please note the wonderful colour and grain of the oak. Area of Greater Paris, circa 1870.
