A pair of fine, early 20th century French Louis XVI style carved, painted and parcel-gilt Fauteuil armchairs of understated, Parisian elegance. Retaining their original and nicely worn ivory colour painted finish, with gilt highlights. The armchairs are covered in burgundy brocade, which is in usable condition. Please note the restrained Classical proportions and the masculine character of these comfortable armchairs. Paris, circa 1930.
