A French Empire Armchair

An elegant and masculine, early 19th century French Empire (Napoleon I) period, carved mahogany 'Bergere en Gondole' tub armchair. Please note the subtle decorations of the arm rest and uprights, and the elegance of the arm rests themselves. Area of Paris, circa 1810.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition, requiring to be reupholstered - or possibly retaining a still-usable upholstery (after steam cleaning).

Dimensions: Width 64 cm, overall height 87 cm.
