A French Louis XV Desk Armchair

A 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XV style Fauteuil de Cabinet desk armchair of wonderful design and proportions, standing on five Cabriole legs, three at the front, two at the rear. The carved solid walnut timbers retaining an excellent, original patination. Decorated with finely carved mouldings and with haut-relief floral motifs. Fitted with a shaped upholstered seat and a curved and upholstered open backrest. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
