A fine, French Louis XVI style finely carved and painted bed of Parisian quality, the header, footer and rails with Neoclassical mouldings and paterae, the uprights with elegant "Pine Cone" finials, both header and footer fitted with finely woven cane painted the same off-white of the bed and with a faint criss-cross pattern in pale blue. This bed will take a standard-size Queen mattress. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
