A Single French LXV Sleigh Bed

A rare, 19th century French Louis XV style, eight leg, haut-relief carved walnut 'Lit en Bateau' bed, the header and footer splaying out in the form of a sleigh, fitted with elegantly shaped and carved rails. The rear of the bed has in place the 'check-outs' for a back-rest to be fitted to it, if required. Our workshop is able to build a back-rest frame for this bed, and to get it upholstered.
