A French 'Corbeille' Queen Size Bed

A fine, early 20th century French Louis XV style carved, painted and upholstered Queen size bed, comprising a bed head, a 'Corbeille' (shaped) footer and shaped side rails. Please note the excellent quality of the carved floral decorations. This French bed's width allows easily for a standard Australian double-bed size mattress. In order to fit a Queen size bed the side rails need to be sympathetically lengthened. Please ask our shop for details on how this can be achieved. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition.
Dimensions: Width 147 cm, height of header 130 cm. Internal mattress size is 145 x 203 cm including the curved corbeille foot. The rails are 186 cm and can be extended and mattress made to sit on rails for full Australia Queen, enquire for more details.
