A French Louis XVI Queen Size Bed

An early 20th century French Louis XVI style finely carved and ivory-painted upholstered bed, the header and footer diamond-buttoned and with curved top rails decorated with haut-relief carved paterae, pine cone finials and fluted pilasters. By using the entire width of the bed (including the side rails), this bed can take a standard Australian Queen size mattress. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
