A French Art Deco ‘Queen’ Bed

A large, early 20th century French Art Deco period, finely carved and painted Queen Size bed, comprising a bed head and a footer decorated with haut relief carved 'fasces of reeds' and 'continuous-ribbon motifs, and retaining its matching side rails. Note the excellent quality of the mouldings. This bed will accommodate a Queen mattress in width, and we can either order from the factory a shorter mattress than the standard 203 cm to fit into the 196 cm rails, or our workshop can extend the existing rails.
