An early 20th century French majolica asparagus and artichoke-serving lidded tureen, the oblong-shaped vessel decorated with a bunch of asparagus stalks and with stylised foliate and artichoke motifs. Standing on Cabriole feet, on its original, separate serving platter. Area of Luneville/ Sarreguemines, Eastern France, circa 1900. This item is for sale in a shop near Paris, and will not be brought to Melbourne unless someone wants it, and is willing to put down a deposit on its purchase.
