An18th century French Louis XVI period carved and turned beechwood Fauteuil armchair of understated elegance, the broad, square backrest above scrolled, upholstered arms, standing on tapering and fluted legs. Please note the Neoclassical proportions and decorative elements, including paterae and classical mouldings. Paris, circa 1780.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition. Requiring small touch ups, waxing and buffing. The toile fabric is in good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Width 61 cm, depth 58 cm, height of back 89 cm, height of seat from floor 42 cm.
