A pair of fine 18th century, French Louis XVI period, painted “A la Reine” Fauteuil armchairs, the elegant medallion-backs with foliate motif carved mouldings, above ample and comfortable seats with typically inwardly-curved arms. Standing on carved and fluted tapering legs. Note the excellent quality of the carved Neoclassical decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1780.
