A large, 19th century French Louis XIV style carved solid walnut armchair, deigned with a typically tall and broad backrest and decorated with sweeping arms ending in lions' heads. Standing on 'Os de Mouton legs, joined by a shaped and carved stretcher base. Area of Isle de France, (Greater Paris), circa 1880.
Please note: given the height of this armchair's seat, it can be used to sit comfortably on, be it at a desk or at a table.
