A French Provincial Armchair

A French Provincial, Louis XV style carved oak ladder-back armchair, the ample seat fitted with woven rush. The back rest and the front rail decorated with bas-relief carved shell motifs and mouldings. Lightweight and very comfortable to sit on. Area of Southern France, circa 1930.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition, requiring a wax and buff. The rush seat is in excellent condition.

Dimensions: Width 55 cm, height of back 99 cm, height of seat 46 cm.
