A fine Parisian 'Duchesse Brisée'

A fine 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style, carved, painted and parcel gilded three-piece Duchesse Brisée, a typical bedroom piece designed for comfort and relaxation. Composed of three parts, including two 'Bergere' (tub) armchairs and a central stool - which is shaped, to accommodate the fronts of the Bergere armchairs. Fitted with finely woven rattan cane. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: Complete and in good and original, unrestored condition. Please feel free to ask our workshop for a quote for reupholstering the arm rests and fitting this Duchesse with squab cushions.
Dimensions: Overall length 180 cm, width 68 cm, height of backrests 93 cm and 80 cm, height of seat 35 cm + thickness of squab cushions.
