A large sized, 19th century French Louis XVI style 'Bergère en Gondole' tub armchair, the solid beechwood frame decorated with finely carved mouldings and with restrained Neoclassical haut relief-carved decorations. Very comfortable to sit in. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
