A pair of Parisian Bergere Armchairs

A fine pair of 19th century French Napoleon III period 'Bergere' tub armchairs, the solid walnut frames carved and decorated and cross-banded walnut mouldings. These large and comfortable armchairs have the typical design of the Napoleon III period, including the large and broad backs and the deep seats. Area of Paris, circa 1860. 

Please note: this pair of armchairs have now been stripped of the old upholstery, and are ready for new reupholstery.
