A Louis XVI Trumeau Mirror

An elegant, 19th century French Louis XVI style gilt and bronze patinated 'Trumeau' mirror, the frame decorated with continuous-ribbon and with string-of-pearl mouldings, surmounted by a panel with large, haut-relief swag of flowers and a knotted bow crest. The original gilt finish is nicely-worn and dulled down by time. Retaining the original bevelled mirror plate. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
