A large French Farmhouse Table

A large and wide 19th century French provincial solid oak farmhouse table, the well-burnished top and with an excellent, faded oak colour, fitted with 'bread-ends'. Standing on chamfered, square-section legs joined by an ‘H’ stretcher. The space between the legs allows comfortably for 5 chairs, plus one chairs at each end, making this a comfortable 12-seater table. Plenty of leg-room under the table rails. Area of Lower Normandy, circa 1880.
