An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period, solid oak Armoire of wonderfully simple and Classical proportions, the façade decorated with two panelled doors. Internally fitted with shelves (not shown in these photos), and retaining its original, luminous patination. Please note the design, which is a simplified version of the previous Napoleonic Empire style, and is a precursor of the later German Biedermeier style. Retaining its original lock and key. Please note: this armoire can come apart, for ease of transport and storage. Area of Paris, circa 1820.
