A 19th century French Napoleon III period Louis XVI style mantle mirror of Classical proportions, the gilt frame with a stepped pediment surmounted by a fretted shell and foliate motif crest, decorated with haut-relief Classic egg-and-dart mouldings. Retaining the original mirror plate showing some oxidation of the silvering. Paris, circa 1870.
