A French "Revolutionary" plate, the hand painted majolica with the motto and the symbols of the French Revolution. The central pattern, with a central medallion inscribed with "W La Nation, La Loi, Le Roy" (Long live the Nation, the Law, the King) and the date 1790. The underside with marks of the potteries of Nevers. Area of Central France, circa 1880.
