A fine pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style 'Cassoulette' cast and gilt brass table lamps, originally designed as candelabra with three candles, mounted on pure Carrara marble plinths and decorated with Neoclassical swags of flowers, acanthus leaf mouldings, knotted bows and laurel leaves. Later electrified and fitted with wonderful, handmade pleated silk and finely braided shades. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition. Fully re-wired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cords with a cord-switch.
