A mid 20th century French majolica table decoration in the shape of a white-glazed woven basket fitted with a carrying handle, holding a pile of cherries, an apple, a pear and a banana, on a bed of leaves. Please note: this type of pottery work is considered a virtuoso level of work, due to the difficulty of double-firing a clay object, once for the red clay, once for the glazes.
