A pair of French Art Nouveau period glazed majolica plates decorated with a slightly raised grapevine, raspberry and cherry motifs on a basketweave background. Please note the soft colours and the whimsical character of these plates. The underside stamped "Salins". Area of Salins-les-Bains, Eastern France, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and unrestored condition, showing wear in keeping with its age and use.
