A pair of French Revolution Commemorative Plates

A pair of large Limoges porcelain plates commemorative of the bicentennial anniversary of the French Revolution of 1789, one plate depicting the 'Execution of Louis XVI' on January 21, 1793, the other depicting a town crier reading the 'Déclaration des Droits de l'Homme', the Declaration of the Rights of Man. Each plate signed 'F. Frappier' (Bernadette Frappier). Manufactured by Apilco, from the Grande Maison Deshoulieres in Limoges, 1989.
