A large 19th century French Art Nouveau period cast and chased and bronze-patinated spelter statuette of an "Amour", a standing cherub holding a quiver of arrows. From the plinth stems a shaped rod, with its original lamp and lampshade-holder. Signed at the base "Hip Moreau" (Hippolyte Moreau, Dijon 1832 – Paris 1926) , one of the three in the Moreau family of famous French sculptors in the 'Academic Style'. Fitted with a period French parchment lampshade in good condition. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
