An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period, solid walnut Armoire of wonderfully simple and Classical proportions, the façade decorated with two panelled doors. Internally fitted with shelves, and retaining its original, luminous patination. Please note the design, which is a simplified follow-on from the previous Napoleonic Empire style, and is a precursor of the later German Biedermeier style. Area of Paris, circa 1820.
