A 19th century French hall table of provincial design, the front rail fitted with three shallow drawers, standing on square-section legs joined by a 'H' stretcher. The solid cherrywood top is nicely worn and burnished by use. Originally used as a serving table, this long and narrow table is suitable for use as an entrance hallway table, or as a salon table, to sit behind a sofa. Area of Normandy, circa 1850.
