A large, mid 19th century French Napoleon III period cast iron crucifix, the cross decorated with a crown of daisies, a trellis of roses hanging from nails, the plinth standing on a bed of reeds. Please note the crispness of the metal, cast in one single throw. Provenance: a deconsecrated chapel in Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1860.
