A French Regence style solid oak Refectory table, the top with an exceptional thickness of 7 cm, standing on two sturdy X-shaped uprights joined by a central stretcher, secured with pegged ends. The top is not fixed but is bolted to the base, and the whole table can be disassembled for ease of transport and storage. This table has a unique character, including some old hand-planed marking on the top. Retaining the original patination and displaying very well-burnished oak timbers from its daily use. Area of Normandy, circa 1930.
