An elegant, 19th century French transitional Louis XV/ Louis XVI style solid oak 'Buffet Deux-Corps' of fine quality and excellent proportions, with an outsized pediment and well-carved haut-relief mouldings and decorated with haut and bas relief geometric patterns and 'fleurettes'. Retaining the original, nicely-faded and luminous patination, and the original internal shelves. The four doors open up completely, including the central door-transoms, allowing this cabinet to be used as a TV cabinet. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1850.
