A French Landscape Painting

A French oil on canvas landscape painting depicting Normandy cottages, a pond featured in the foreground. Please note: the painter deliberately shaved back the painted surface, to give it the present 'blurred' effect, as if seen through a window in the rain. The rear of the canvas has a handwritten location note for this painting: "Valmont", a village in Normandy. Signed on the bottom-right and at the rear "A. Laemmermann", a French painter known for his oil paintings of landscapes. Area of Normandy, circa 1907.
