A Louis Philippe Fall-front Desk

An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period 'Bureau-en-Abattant' fall-front desk, the book-matched walnut with a beautiful patina, offset by the now faded ebonised mouldings. The birdseye maple interior is fitted with drawers and with a pigeon holes. Retaining the original 'Gris St Anne' marble top and the original furniture hardware including locks, key and drawer escutcheons. Please note, the interior has two secret compartments.
