An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period gilt mantle mirror with a shaped pediment, of wonderful and Classical simple proportions, the mouldings carved with fluted and string-of-pearls patterns. The original gilt finish with an etched pattern is nicely worn. Retaining the original mirror plate. Area of Paris, circa 1840.
