A large, early 18th century French Regence period single-door, solid oak 'Armoire' wardrobe, the elegant facade fitted with a large pediment, above a single door decorated with formal and symmetrically-shaped haut-relief carved panels, standing on turned 'bun' feet. The flanks are each decorated with six panels. Retaining the original oak patination, the original lock, key and escutcheon. Internally fitted with four adjustable-height shelves. Please note the early construction techniques of this Armoire. A photo of this Armoire in our warehouse, with the kind volunteering by one of our helpers - to give an idea of the proportions of this item. Area of Normandy, circa 1710.
